Kapatagan, Digos City

Kublai Art Garden and Dhen Yho's Place

If you travel to and from a place passing through Sta. Cruz or Digos City, why not stop by Brgy. Kapatagan and explore some of their attractions. Kublai Art Garden and Dhen Yho's Place are just some of the few.

*Kublai Art Garden.
Place of the distinguished Davao artist Kublai Millan. Aside from his crafts found in nearby regions, you will get a chance to see more of his works in this so-called garden for free. Here rise the famous Agong house, built to look like a giant percussion instrument, you will have fun taking pictures of it. Not forgetting his other creations, designed where you can join or mimic them of what they are portrayed to be doing. Truly, it is the land of peace.

*Dhen Yho's Place. A newly built inland resort just across the Kublai Art Garden. For only Php25.00 you'll get to experience their ice-cool swimming pool. Though the place doesn't much have to offer (activities and the like), we think that what catches the eye of a potential visitor is the vibrant color they used for their pool, well that's one thing that made us visit them (hehehe). But what it can confidently guarantee you as its guests is a relaxing mood to savor in your entire stay.

 How to get there:

*If using Private Vehicle:

(1) Coming from Sitio Maupot, Magpet: just take the same route you took in going to Sitio Maupot Family Resort until you hit the Digos-Sultan Kudarat Road. Make your way to arrive at the Davao-Cotabato Road, you will notice a signage (left side) "to Camp Sabros", use that road and head straight for about 25 kilometers to reach the destination

(2) Coming from Davao City: Make your way to Digos City. When approaching a divided road with Digos Metro Lions Club Pylon, that's your landmark, turn right (Davao-Cotabato Road), and you're now just a few meters away to take another right turn to Brgy. Kapatagan.

Our Advice: If you're going in a large group, it is better if you bring your own ride so it wouldn't be so hard to go from one place to another.

*If Commuting (from Davao City): you can either ride a bus or a van to Digos. Tell the conductor or the driver to drop you off where you can ride a motorcycle to Brgy. Kapatagan, Digos.
(1) When taking the big bus, go to Ecoland bus terminal. You may grab a taxi and tell the driver to take you to there or ride a jeepney that has a signboard that says "Ecoland Term." or "Ecoland Terminal".

(2) When taking the mini bus, go to Abreeza Mall. You may either let a taxi drop you off there or take a jeepney with "Bajada" or "J.P. Laurel" signage.
(3) When taking the van, go to either Gaisano Mall or SM City Davao. G.Mall is just almost 2 kilometers away from Abreeza Mall and SM City Davao is roughly around 3 kilometers away from Ecoland bus terminal (so, you can take the same route in going to these places respectively)

Our Advice: We believe that it is best to ride the big bus. It's cheaper than the mini bus and safer than the van though it is slower than the other two.

How to get there:
*If using Private Vehicle: There are two roads that will lead you to Magpet, Cotabato - via Davao-Cotabato Road and Davao-Arakan Valley Road. Took the Davao-Cotabato Road and make your way to Kidapawan City. When you arrived in their Poblacion go in a junction road and turn right to hit the Kidapawan-Magpet-Pangaoan Road (you will see a road sign), go straight for like 10 kilometers, then turn right and travel for another 3 kilometers before you reach Sitio Maupot Family Resort.
Our Advice: Take the Davao-Cotabato Road because we find it safer than the other one.

*If Commuting: you can either ride a bus or a van to Kidapawan. We noticed that the resort has their own shuttle service to pick-up and drop-off their guests. Maybe you can contact them and arrange for it.

Altitude: Indoor Trampoline Park

Fly High!

Have some diet...Hit the gym...Take slimming pills, but still none of these work for you. Then, why not try jumping? Yes! You read it right...jumping is the new fat burner. So come and visit the first and the largest indoor trampoline park in Southern Philippines - Altitude, located along Lanang, Davao City.

It doesn't just burn your fats, it will burn your wallet as well (it's quite expensive), but somehow it is fun. The only thing is, if you want to jump like there's no tomorrow, I think you'll get disappointed. Kids (below 7 years old) and adults share the same playground. How can you ever do your thing if there are theses cute little toddlers running around that you might knock out? Yes, they have this special activity called toddlers' session scheduled every Saturday and Sunday, 9:30 to 10:30 AM, but hey! We took the 6:30 PM flight.

From the name itself, maybe you'll have an idea about their concept to add a little amusement of like traveling by plane. The ladies were dressed like flight attendants and the men were dressed like pilots.

Want to Fly? Here are their flight rates:

Monday to Thursday     = Php250.00 One way

                                  = Php450.00 Round trip

Friday to Sunday          = Php350.00 One way

                                  = Php650.00 Round trip
Platform rate               = Php100.00

Note:
*One way means 1 hour and Round trip means 2 hours; (a few minutes of jumping is already exhausting)

*Platform means you can board the plane but you cannot experience the fun and excitement like of the passenger (jumper), you are there to act as one of the flight crew (be a look out);

*Before you can book a flight, you need to sign a waiver at the information desk;

*If it is your first time to fly with them, you are required to purchase their flight socks for Php100.00 (you cannot use your ordinary socks);
Flight socks (comes in different sizes)

*In preparation for boarding, rules, and guidelines will be presented to the passenger in the waiting area;

*No accessories and gadgets allowed for the jumpers

Our advice: if you're planning to document and take pictures of you, be sure to bring someone who will just be on the platform;

*You cannot ask the flight crew to take photos of you because they have their official photographer on the plane (and you know what that means - business is a business).

Wall Climbing

The Trampoline Park

Ninja Course

Volley ball and Dodge ball Area

Aside from their grand trampoline park, inside the Altitude is also an arcade, a resto (looks like S&R but it's not), and a souvenir shop. We can say that...for the sake of experiencing and feeling the rush, it's worth a try. But to go back for a 2nd round? Hmmm...maybe if they have new trampoline activities. Go and discover a boundless world!

How to get there:

If using Private Vehicle: Drive your way to SM Lanang Premier or Damosa Gateway, Altitude Indoor Trampoline Park is just a few meters away from there. Adjacent to Central Warehouse.

If Commuting: Coming from Davao International Airport or somewhere in Buhangin area: Ride a jeepney that will take you to Bajada/J.P. Laurel Ave.; Get off the jeep; Go on the other side of the road (where jeepneys are heading north), and ride another jeepney that will pass by Lanang.

Note: Minimum fare in Davao City is Php8.00
